Vanessa Redgrave, Oscar winning actress and political activist visited our revisited exhibition of ‘Paths of Hope and Despair’ by Yannis Behrakis, Reuters photojournalist and Pulitzer prize winner. During the occasion, we had the opportunity to speak with Mrs. Redgrave regarding the ‘Global Safety Passport’.

The ‘Global Safety Passport’ is an Estoril Conferences project, first presented during the 5th edition of the Estoril Conferences, last May. It aims at providing safe passage to the millions of refugees that cross our countries, on a daily basis, and are often confronted with several human rights challenges.

Vanessa Redgrave, who recently directed the movie ‘Sea Sorrow’ regarding the subject of refugees, demonstrated a great interest in the project and the will to support it.

This was a proud moment for the Estoril Conferences as it proves the ‘Global Safety Passport’ can be a reality, as we gather more and more support around it.
