A school for all who believes in a brighter and better future and committed to participating in the positive transformation of our world. A space where ideas and ideals can flourish safely, freely. We believe we have a commitment to every single person who continues to wonder, discover, create. To all of those who keep trying to improve themselves and create meaningful impact. We believe we should support those who strive to be better: as people, professionals, leaders, and citizens.
Tomorrow as yesterday, we are a school with a role to play. A role we cannot avoid or delay.

“At Nova SBE, we uphold the fundamental tenets of science and knowledge dissemination, placing immense value on ethical discussions and their societal implications. The Estoril Conferences serve as a fundamental platform to this endeavour—a concrete proof of our commitment to nurturing spaces for open dialogue and exchange of perspectives. Initiated by the Municipality of Cascais in 2009, the Estoril Conferences have evolved to become an annual event, striving to transcend borders and foster meaningful discussions. Our ambition is to create an inclusive and pluralistic forum, where ideas converge, inspiring the youth and society at large, to engage in actionable debates that shape public discourse, both nationally and internationally. My dream and hope, our dream and hope, is that we can, annually, have an open dialogue that will influence transition to a new type of leadership that can restore balance. And for this we count on you. All of you!”

About the Municipality of Cascais

The Estoril Conferences have been promoted by the Cascais City Council since 2009. Cascais is a traditional and charming Portuguese fishing town located near Lisbon, in Portugal, and is known for the many members of the royalty who lived there. Nowadays, Cascais is an important touristic point and a popular resort town. For decades chosen as a summer resort, Cascais has been, since the beginning of its history, a village sought after by those who wanted to make the most of the magnificent coastline of beaches and stroll in the nature. Among Cascais’ streets, you can discover lavish villas, a fort and museums, as well many interesting sights and attractions.

“The Municipality of Cascais is proud to be the Co-Host of the Estoril Conferences. Since 2009 Cascais has been the international stage for the past six successful editions. Several Nobel prize winners, Heads of State and high-level leaders have travel to Portugal, for an open and impactful dialogue on global challenges. Nova School of Business and Economics is now the new host for the Estoril Conferences, aiming to engage with the younger generations to jointly find innovative and sustainable solutions for our common future.
A new home, the very same commitment with liberty, pluralism and humanism. That’s our DNA.
Be most welcome to Cascais.”
